The Project Brief

This project was to refurbish the kitchen area and provide a new ventilation system upto the current standards.

The layout of the kitchen was altered by the client and the new extract canopy was designed with all of the new and existing gas cooking appliances in mind.

The kitchen was totally rewired with the addition of new lighting along with alterations to the water services throughout the kitchen which included the installation of new drainage.

All new flooring and wall cladding were also installed as part of this project.

Our Approach

These works were carried whilst the school was in operation with school meals being brought in from a neighbouring school.

A site compound was set up next the the kitchen area to enable a safe area of work and self containment for all tradesmen and enabled total segregation from the school staff and children as the kitchen was adjacent to the main school playground.

Deliveries to site were pre-arranged outside of school hours so there was no disruption or interferrance with the school day.
